The INFANS Baby Gate is just what I was looking for to put up a barrier between my living room and bedroom to keep my 1 year old little wanderer from venturing too far into territory I haven't yet fully childproofed.
Absolutely NO tools of ANY kind are required and all the necessary hardware for assembly arrived complete in the box.
While I usually experience at least some degree of difficulty when assembling these types of things, the INFANS Baby Gate surprised me by being both fast and super simple to put together. The detailed, easy-to-read instruction manual was simple to follow as it walked me through the installation step-by-step and even includes pictures to help along the way.
There are a total of 4 separable panels of varying lengths that complete the bidirectional swinging gate and allow it to operate at a maximum length of 47". The main panel, which includes the one-handed door release and the gate itself, measures 27.5" and can be used on its own, or with any combination of the remaining three panels, which measure 3, 5 and 11 inches long. All 4 panels are 30" high. The panels can be attached to either side of the gate, or to one-another to further extend the gate to meet most needs.
The gate relies on pressure,, rather than screws or other hardware, to keep the gate firmly in place. There is a rubber coated mount on each the 4 corners that can be adjusted by twisting one way while a nut of sorts is twisted in the opposite direction to put the needed pressure between the gate and the wall. When done the gate will stay in place and doesn't budge, even when tugged and firmly pulled on.
I like that the gate is easy to take down and move to other areas of my home with little effort. It has a nice, modern style that compliments my home. It has more than met my needs and exceeded my expectations.
